It's already halfway through April-- I almost can't believe how fast 2017 has gone. In a week or so, I'll be getting my wisdom teeth taken out...not fun. Still haven't sorted out what I want to buy for my boyfriend's mom for Mother's Day (although, if you need some ideas, here's my latest gift guide: click). I also bought an iPhone 7 recently after most of you guys suggested it and I'm completely in love with the fact that it's pink!

I don't have a lot of plans for this weekend but if you guys are doing anything fun,
share it down below!

I thought I would keep this post simple + share with you NINE of my favorite bloggers at the moment. Be sure to tweet me if they are also your favorites~

Now I know what you're thinking--

Another gift guide? I already did one last year (which you can view here) and I have several other gift guides like this one for my budget friendly readers. But I wanted to do an updated one in case you needed just a few extra ideas.

Plus, this year is really special for me since I will be walking for commencement for my Master's degree and my little sister is getting her Bachelor's. It's an exciting time and of course, no special occasion is complete without gifts.

So whether you're stumped for something to buy or you want to point your family members in the right direction, this list will hopefully be your guide for 2017.

GIFTS UNDER $50 "Making-minimum-wage broke"

graduation, gifts, budget, lifestyle, presents

1. After four years of reading assigned texts, a book may not be the first gift that comes to mind. But an inspiring book can be a wonderful gift for someone straight out of college, especially one like Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert. It talks about how you can overcome your fears to live your most creative life.

2. For the professional buff with the big office job, a business card holder is a wonderful present. Add a personalized touch to complete the gift!

3. A sweatshirt is the perfect casual gift for the guy in your life. Plus the saying on the front is a great reminder to step back + relax after four years of hard work!

4. I don't know what it is but as I get older, I yearn more and more for pajamas and comfy clothes. These cotton fleece shorts are perfect for the summertime, lounging around after work. And let's be real here, who doesn't love being 'badass'?

5. What's a better gift than a photo album? Instax and polaroids have made an astonishing comeback. Your friend or sister or brother that always has a camera in hand? Give them this Instax album to store their memories!

GIFTS UNDER $100 "I-have-money-saved-up"

graduation, gifts, presents, college, fashion, lifestyle

1. A throw blanket is a must for cozying up at home. It can be thrown over a couch for added texture and color or placed at the foot of the bed.

2. If the gift receiver is moving out after college, they're gonna want some tools to beef up that kitchen. Cooking on your own isn't an easy task but it can be fun when you have things like an immersion blender.
>> click here for more info <<

3. It never hurts to smell good. Splurge on this starter kit for Jo Malone for the girl who wants a new signature smell but isn't sure where to start.

4. You can never go wrong with a wallet as a gift, especially a sleek black one. It's a great way to 'graduate' from something casual to something office appropriate.

5. Again, going with the apartment theme, a piece of art is a wonderful gift. It can really add personality to a space and you can tailor it to the person you are giving it to.

GIFTS UNDER $600 "I'm-balling-and-it-shows"

graduation, gifts, presents, college, expensive, lifestyle, travel, fashion

1. Another staple gift is a watch. Rose gold has been in style for a while now and seriously, it's gorgeous paired with a button up and blazer.
>> click here for more info <<

2. Another great gift to bulk up the kitchen is a cast iron dutch oven. It's beautiful, will last a long time, and be very impressive for hosting dinner parties. Definitely pricey but well worth the investment.
>> click here for more info <<

3. The man in your life deserves a lovely leather briefcase to round out his office look. It's great for carrying documents and for travel!
>> click here for more info <<

4. Going for a run? Heading to the train on your commute? A pair of wireless headphones are perfect. You won't have to deal with tangled wires (because really, who wants to deal with that?).
>> click here for more info <<

5. An iPad is definitely an expensive gift and I don't recommend dropping $600+ on just anyone. But if this is someone really special in your life and you want to celebrate their achievements, a new iPad would be an amazing gift. They can carry it around, organize their calendar, jot down notes-- perfect for someone fresh in the workforce.

Happy 2017! First off, I know I haven't been consistently blogging lately. I tweeted about it a little but basically, I haven't had any motivation to make fashion-related posts. I've also been traveling here and there, trying to figure out my post-graduate plans. It's not an excuse but at least this way, you aren't so left in the dark about my whereabouts.

Secondly, I have renamed my blog (as well as my other social media handles). I really wanted everything to come together in a cohesive way so that it's easier for you guys to find me. So be sure to check out the side panel if you want to follow me on Twitter or Instagram (or the other platforms).

This is the first post of 2017 and I want to kick it off with a recap on 2016 as well as what's been going on in my life.

~~~~~~~~
one. I finished my Master's in Communication! It was a lot of hard work and despite all the times I wish I hadn't gone back to school, I don't regret my decision at all.
two. I went to Seoul, South Korea. Twice. So much fun, honestly. The food was amazing, the people were kind, and the shopping is just insane.
three. I had a wonderful Christmas celebration with my friends. We did Secret Santa for the first time as a group and surprisingly, everyone was really happy with their gifts! Phew.
four. My family bought plane tickets for a post-Christmas trip to California.
~~~~~~~~

one. We went on a ten day trip to Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and San Francisco. This was my first time in SF and I absolutely loved it. Minus the fact that I caught a bad cold and the plane ride back was just crap, the SF trip was so beautiful. The hustle and bustle of the city, the tourist traps, the food...I regret not being able to stay longer.

two. I bought a scratch ticket to test out my luck for the new year and won $100. First time that's ever happened. Nice.

three. My boyfriend spoiled me with a 3DS for Christmas and to top it all off, he bought me Pokemon Platinum! For those of you that play, you know, the newer Pokemon games have a completely different look. I personally prefer the older, classic style because it's cuter and less...creepily realistic? Have you guys played Pokemon Platinum and if so, who did you choose as your starter? #TeamChimchar

four. I went to the dentist recently and was told that all four of my wisdom teeth need to be taken out. Timing couldn't have been better. Totally dreading this.

five. Mystery bags. Mystery boxes. Mystery anything. I am SO obsessed. I think it probably began when I first tried those 'gatcha' machines in Seoul. You put money in and get some random toy. You don't know which one you'll get. The thrill of not knowing but also the possibility of getting something you really want makes these mystery boxes so addicting! Slowly, my collection of cute but impractical objects has grown. Just recently, I opened a Disney one to find this adorable Tigger. So worth my $3.

~~~~~~~~
Well that's all I have for you today. It feels good to write again and hope to be able to write more this year! I'm going to end this lengthy post with some of my New Year's Resolutions!
>> Find a job, move out, and be more courageous.
