Those were basically all my obsessions for Fall 2012 RTW...if I had money, I would absolutely splurge on several of those items but, alas, it'll probably remain as a dream for this broke college student. :/

Did you have any designer obsessions for this fall or are you the type of person to always lust after designer items anyway? Don't be shy! Let me know in the comments below.

Nope. Not a post about anything related to romance (harhar). Just a lame play on words to introduce you to a fall wishlist! or random "I feel like showing everyone what I want to buy but can't afford" list!

Before I start, I just want to genuinely apologize for not writing a new post in 10 days. It seems unbearably bizarre, compared to how often I updated over the summer. But, I had a bit of spare time today so I thought I'd do a simple wishlist post, in honor of it being my birthday this Saturday.

Can I get a woowoot?

Let me know down below what you're pining for this week!

Dragonfly Cuff

Public Display Dress

Gorilla Skater Dress

Suede Crystal Brogues

Printed Silk Blouse

Shell Collar Necklace

Barb Wire Bracelet

Insight Colab Cable Crew

Spare The Drama Dress

HOOPLAH. You made it to the end. Yay.

Let me know stuff about your life. Your wishlist must have item. Your favorite fruit. Anything and everything! :)

According to Vogue, a major eyeliner trend for this upcoming autumn and winter is using black liquid liner to create graphic effects.

Various designers have already been seen utilizing this trend but my personal favorite are the minimalist ones. I think the eyeliner just creates such an interesting look that really focuses on "bare" eyes. Plus, if you're into bold lips this season, the minimalist eyeliner will help balance the face out.

I just want to say that I'm not a makeup expert and I barely wear makeup myself so all of these tips and suggestions are just my own opinion and also based on information I read about through Vogue and see on Youtube!

So, if you'd like to see the article on Vogue, click here!

LOOK #1
Tom Pecheux from Altuzarra created this parallel line look and added a little bit of bluish brown eyeshadow on the inner corners. Love the bit of eyeshadow because of how it adds a little extra shine without being overly blatant like a white eyeshadow would be.

LOOK #2

Lucia Pieroni at Aquascutum opts for a modern cat eye by squaring off the edges. Beautifully frames her eyes. Love this look.

LOOK #3
Andrew Gallimore at Erdem draws tiny triangles at the corner of each eye, creating a lovely subtle but compelling look. Definitely my favorite of the bunch.

LOOK #4
Yadim at Kenzo decided to do a classic line but blunted the edges with a q-tip and makeup remover. Brilliant.

LOOK #5
Val Garland at Mary Katrantzou made this wicked cool geometric look with the eyeliner, leaving the eyelid space empty and the face bare.

These looks would be so much fun to try out! I'm not the most experimental when it comes to makeup. My go-to eyeliner style is a subtle winged out look or if I'm feeling dramatic, I'll opt for a cat eye. But that's it.

What kind of eyeliner trends are you into? Which of these did you like the best? Comment down below :)

Maybe it's just me but I've been seeing loads of dresses that have a knot in the middle, creating two open spaces at the sides. Is it a trend? Not really sure but either way, I think it's a fresh take on the cut out dress as well as the 90's knot.

The several variations I've seen of this dress consist of basic colors, ombres, and prints. Strangely enough, Asos even has a shirt version of this.

Renegade Dress

River Island's Twist Waist Jersey Dress

Double Knot Dress in Sky Blue

Knotted Line Dress

Rare's Twist Front Tank

Frontin Cutout Dress

Nightfall Maxi Dress

As you can see, there are quite a few variations: long sleeved, short sleeved, maxi length, shorter length, printed, ombre.

The twist knot just adds a cute touch, something unexpected. I would probably layer this with a chunky sweater for the cooler months but having a little skin peeking out would be quite adorable. I don't recommend wearing this to school. It's most definitely a trendy...wear with your friends in a casual setting kind of dress or a go out for drinks.

What do you guys think about this? Would you wear it?

Until next we meet,

Flipping through the new catalog that UO sent me and I picked out a few looks to recreate via Polyvore.

I won't go into too much detail but I noticed a lot of that laid-back, urban style that Urban Outfitters usually turns to. Lots of fun denim pants in various patterns and deep colors.

To see the outfits, click here!

Sorry for this short post! I promise, I will have a much more fulfilling post tomorrow :)

Have a wonderful day!

Until next time,

When it comes to fashion, mixing feminine and masculine pieces help balance out a look (for me) and grounds it. I'm not the type of person who likes to dress overly girly unless it's a special occasion so shoes like loafers and sneakers are right up my alley.

This new trend of bright colored loafers or moccasins will pair beautifully with another trend: bold printed pants (which I've touched upon before in previous posts).

I got this tip straight from Nordstrom so here are a few shoes that I liked out of their selection.

Ron White Rita Loafer

Sam Edelman Jones Flat

Jeffrey Campbell Mocky Moccasin

Betsey Johnson Mayhemm Flat

Tod's Gommini Driving Moccasin

Attilio Giusti Leombruni Resort Moc Loafer

Tod's Gommini Driving Moccasin

Which one is your favorite? Digging the loafer trend?

Until next time,

Project Runway lovers...Christian Siriano is back with another collection for Payless Shoes this fall. I cannot contain all this excitement.

Each shoe looks well crafted and full of bang, as most Siriano anything is.

This article comes straight from Glamour so click here for the full article!

Allessandra T-Strap

Seriously adore the gold glitter back, the solid gold plated T-strap, and the fuzzy black bit at the front (whatever that material is...).

Probably would reserve it for night outs and dinner parties because there's so much going on but since the colors are quite basic, you might be able to get away with wearing it at formal events by keeping the rest of the outfit clean and simple.

-----------------------------------------------

Gabriella Pump

I just think the color is so trippy; it reminds me of a mellow mood ring.

-----------------------------------------------

Arabella

Not my favorite. The glitter is too excessive and the bows in the back look like...suede sacks? Definitely not my style.

-----------------------------------------------

Not sure what this shoe is called? Might be the Aurora based on the link of the image. Either way, am obsessed with this shoe. That triangle-shaped cut out at the front is to die for and the two-toned makes it oh so exciting.

-----------------------------------------------

Juliana

Similar to the first shoe but has faux snakeskin and pony hair accents. I personally prefer the first one though.

-----------------------------------------------

Estella boot

Fiesty shoe. So much character with the gold buckle and the half snakeskin, half pony hair look. I think this will translate so well into the winter.

-----------------------------------------------

Antonella

Absolutely don't like this shoe because of the way the two textures/fabrics/materials were split. As the description in the article puts it, it looks like snakeskin socks. I'm all for socks and pumps but ack, no. Not this.

-----------------------------------------------

Mariella boot

I'm iffy about this shoe because it's not as eye-catching as some of the other ones but it still embodies what Siriano is all about, as a designer. Nevertheless, this shoe would fit right into a closet of leathers, dark washed denim, and furs.

-----------------------------------------------

Which ones are your favorites? Let me know down below!

Until next time,

H&M revealed that their new face for the fall campaign is Lana Del Rey!

Nylonmag only shows a couple of pictures of her sporting a mohair sweater and skinny jeans, both in a lovely peach color. Her hair has a bee-hive-esque look with the extra volume at the crown but is worn down.

Full article.

The images are supposed to scream "L.A. noir", according to Donald Schneider, the creative director. Along with this, Lana will be releasing a version of "Blue Velvet" on H&M's Youtube channel so look out for that!

Other than the fact that I love H&M, the reason I even made this short post was to point out the mohair sweater. I have been dying for one because they look ridiculously soft and perfect for fall! Is it a trend? No idea but it could become a staple in my closet, paired with some classic skinny jeans and black flats. Super love.

Until next time,
