Nicole Richie for Macy's Impulse Collection

by - August 29, 2012

Honestly, I only really like browsing Macy's for their shoes and for Levi's BUT seeing this collection on Vogue makes me really want to hop on over there and just kind of soak it all in.

I absolutely love the semi boho feel of these clothes but I think the colors are so great for the fall and the pieces could work in many situations, depending on how you style them.

Here are some of my favorites!

The subtle peacock feather print is to die for. Lovely piece to wear on a date or a casual hangout. It has the potential to be dressed up or down so I really love this dress.

Even though this piece is quite simple, something about it kind of draws me in. The color is definitely gorgeous in that rich blue, almost velvety tone.

The color combo of yellow and blue reminds me a little bit of Van Gogh's painting, the Starry Night one.

I love the yellow color but it's not one that's too bright. The little detailing on the front adds a nice texture and overall, a good piece that can be worn in the spring or the fall.

Everything about this top is just so perfect. The color, the print, the placement of the print, the cut. It's all so wonderful!

This sweater is so amazing because it's a classic black and white combo, which means it's versatile. Yay. Not only that, it has a slight geometric feel to it and I like that the triangle shapes are off to one side. Almost looks like abstract art. What is up with me and comparing things to art. I don't know.

ANYWAY.

Here's the link if you want to see more!

What are your thoughts on this? Would you wear any of these pieces? Let me know!

  1. I love everything about peacock feathers; color, texture, softness... So I am completely blown away by the shirt. It would have been greater even if those feathers would have been real. But that would maybe be too much to ask ;-)

    1. I never even thought about that but adding real peacock feathers (or faux) would have been a genius way to add texture and life to the shirt! Would've loved to see that :)
