A few days ago, I noticed an article/post on Nylonmag.com about the plastics trend and how it's finally resurfaced from 2009.

Here is the full story, straight from the website: Plastics Make Perfect.

To sum up this already very short article, plastic fashion has been around since the 1960's when Mary Quant created some sexy see-through bikinis but the trend has died down for quite a few years now. Recently, quite a few designers have been caught revamping this trend into a modern interpretation that makes even me, a supposed plastic hater, fall in love a little.

Just a little though.

One of my favorites that they featured was the black Phillip Lim 3.1 bag, which reminds me a little of the Celine bag that got superrr popular not too long ago. Surprisingly, it doesn't look tacky.

THAT, however, is an example of something I would not be caught dead wearing. Even if it's a Karl Lagerfeld creation...
I honestly think it looks like a glossy trash bag that's trying to mold into a jacket but failed along the way.

This Christopher Kane clutch intrigued me the most out of all the examples that Nylon provided. The color and shape are similar to a lava lamp but in clutch form. I think it'd look stunning against a solid white dress.

What do you guys think about this? Yay? No way Jose? Let me know in the comments below!

Until next time,
{Au revoir}
~Jenn
